Zabaleta – one of only three ever presents.

With the international break upon us Claretand Hugh has taken a long look at the systems and players used by Slaven Bilic over the first seven Premier League games of the season.

We are very grateful to new CandH stats man Chris Jones who has produced what we believe are some highly interesting and revealing facts and figures as the manager has shuffled his pack in search of the right mix.
So here goes:
In the Premier League we have played three formations:
Rounds 1-3: 4-2-3-1 (3 Losses)
Rounds 4-6: 3-4-3 (1 Win, 1 Draw, 1 Loss)
Round 7: 4-4-2 (1 Win)
– Only three players have started every game: Hart, Zabaleta and Chicha
– We have started 17 different players across the 7 games
– Lanzini and Sakho have so far only made sub only appearances
– We have made 16 changes to the PL starting Line-up – 6 have been forced, 10 unforced
– Ogbonna is the only player to be dropped twice without a “forced” reason
The other players presumably dropped on form or other reasons are:
Ayew, Carroll, Fernandes, Fonte, Masuaku, Noble, Obiang and Rice.
