Slav will get time he needs

|

bilic-pressureHammer Tony Cottee remains totally convnced that Slaven Bilic is the right man to lead the club into a brighter period starting at Crystal Palace next weekend.

TC was one of the Croatian’s biggest supporters before hisl appointment and said: “Slaven has earned the right to put things right after his first season.

He has credit in his account and deserves the time which I believe he will get. There are key players coming back and he hasn’t even had the chance to work with the club’s record signing Andre Ayew.

This season was always going to be about settling in. It is important no one pushes the panic button.’

“I think eveybody should remember that he arrived at perhaps the most difficult time in the club’s history. There was enormous pressure on him to make it a great  final Boleyn season and then to ensure survival at the London Stadium. That’s big big pressure on a new manager!

Slaven himself said this season would feel like every home match was being played away. He understands and I believe the club give him the time he needs.”

Let’s hope TC Is right. We’ve got a good manager who will turn things around given more time. All we need to do is hold our nerve and keep the faith cos Slav will eventually deliver. COYI.

I totally agree, he is a very good manager in many aspects. He is a good person and for what he did last season, he deserves to be given as much time as he needs. He is a quality manager. We have talked enough about the quality of our signings so I am not going there but something went wrong somewhere and the club need to sort it out for next season. Just on that note Zaza and Tore need to return to their clubs during Jan if there is no improvement by then. My only wish with Bilic is that he would improve his team selections at times. I would love to see us play 3 at the back, allowing Payet to play in the hole behind two strikers. I think this system would really suit us, team could be Adrian, Arbeloa, Reid, Oxford, Ogbanna, Cresswell, Lanzini, Kouyate, Payet, Antonio and Sakho.

I don’t know, the Dave’s have learnt from their experience with Avram Grant that they can’t afford to let things drift – I reckon if Slaven Bilic doesn’t win at either Crystal Palace or against Sunderland then his time will be up!

Relegation would be a disaster and they cannot allow that to happen – God knows who they’ll bring in – I have heard about Rudi Garcia but that would be a real gamble!

Dont see that at all Michael. They have never been quick to pull the trigger so i dont see it happening now if im honest mate.I can see them holding tight & giving him a fair run at it.
