Slavia Prague reinforcement unlikely

|

Reports that West Ham are now in talks to sign Abdallah Sima have been denied by club insiders.

On Tuesday WestHamFans.Org reported: “We have just received news from a GENUINE source that negotiations are at an advanced stage regarding Abdah Sima from the club’s ‘old friends’ Slavia Prague. It seems as if the Irons are not content to have relieved Sparta of Tomas Soucek and Vlad the impaler Coufal, it is understood that Sima, who was the subject of interest early on in the window, has now moved back into the reckoning as a result of Sparta reducing their valuation of the young winger come striker to a more realistic level.”

Last season, he scored 20 goals in 39 games and is, undoubtedly, the first-choice option for Slavia but it appears he is not one of David Moyes targets.

Slavia’s president Jaroslav Tvrdik has previously confirmed that Sima could leave this summer and has made the claim that the Hammers were keen on snapping up the striker this summer.

He said, per Tribal Football: “With the arrival of Ivan Schranz we have acquired an attacking player who can play four positions in our system. Abdallah Sima and [fellow Slavia player] Peter Olayinka could leave, so you have to prepare for that eventuality. We spoke to West Ham and they told us they put Sima very high on the list of their possible reinforcements.”

However, we understand that talks between the two clubs have been denied by those within the London Stadium.

Sima has been impressive during his time at Slavia and played in the Europa League for the club last season, coming up against both Leicester and Arsenal.

At this stage, though, we are not in negotiations to bring him into the London Stadium.

Sima can play as a striker and a winger and we obviously have a very good relationship with Slavia!

He looks like a player that would improve us, fits into the Moyes mould and has pedigree, can also play anywhere across the front three, as he will cost north of 50p probably unsurprising we are not in for him 😉

That’s a shame, if we’re not going after Sima. He looks ideal for us. His lightening quick, can play on both flanks and down the middle. He has excellent close control and his height would terrorise Premier league defences. He has European experience and is a proven goal scorer. At only 20 I can see him becoming a top top international star. If we could get him now his value in 3 years time will sky rocket. It would be amazing

If we have insufficient Players to cover all the matches and or we have to many old Players who run out of steam or get injured. We will be out of Europe and quick and we will be struggling in the league again and they expect big crowds. Forget increasing the capacity of the ground, you will be lucky if the Tea lady turns up. Fellow fans if you turn up and tolerate this behaviour you deserve what you get. Vote with your feet and leave the place empty until hands reach into pockets and pull out the millions they have accumulated on the sale of other Players and for getting to Europe.

They really should close the window before the season starts. I know it’s the same for everyone but not getting anyone could hit us on two fronts- the league and Europa Cup. What a waste of a season that’ll be. Ings has gone so has Armstrong-Now what’s wrong with Sima??? Surely worth a bid.
