Snoddy sends message as former mates win through

|

Robert Snodgrass is delighted that Villa have succeeded at the second play off final attempt following his own disappointment last season.

The winger was fully expected to join the midlanders had they made it into the Premier League last season but was left a loser before returning to the Irons.

The rest – as they say is history – with the Scot making a fine Hammers comeback which saw him make over 30 appearances last season.

And this afternoon he was clearly a keen watcher as the Villa pushed fellow midlanders Derby County aside to finally make it back into the big league.

It was a thrilling game of football and at the end of it the 31 year old  wanted to ensure that he didn’t forget the club where he was a big favourite during his time at Villa Park.

And he was quick off the mark with a Twitter message which made it clear to his former colleagues he hadn’t forgotten them.

After former Brentford boss Dean Smith’s men had won the game he said: “Well done to everyone connected with Aston Villa…”

“Enjoy”.
