Snodgrass/Antonio updates

|

Robert Snodgrass who disappeared at the interval – seemingly with an injury – is fit and is set to be available forĀ  the game against Liverpool next Wednesday evening.

The midfielder looked to be in trouble at half time and failed to appear for the remaining 45 minutes, being replaced by Pedro Fornals.

However, whilst he could be fit to play on Saturday against West Bromwich Albion in the Fourth Round FA Cup tie, he is likely to be kept back in readiness for the match against the League leaders.

We were told this evening: “He was fine after the game but is unlikely to be involved in Saturday – there’s no way we can take chances.

The top news is that despite almost running himself into the ground during a sensational second half performance, Michail Antonio had no reaction whatever to the hamstring problem.

But he too is unlikely to feature against the Baggies but be available – hopefully from the start – against Liverpool.

However, there may be an appearance for the first time this season for Winston Reid in the Cup clash – who could come off the bench at some stage.
