Dia scored two first-half goals for Reims against St Etienne last night to help the French club to a 3-1 win last night.
Earlier this week his agent confirmed that West Ham have made an approach to sign the Reims striker.
The 24-year-old has scored 12 Ligue 1 goals and assisted once in 18 appearances this term making him one of the highest scorers in the French top-flight league and he has compared to Michail Antonio.
Dia’s Stade Reims contract runs until 2022 and it’s reckoned David Moyes could get him for a knockdown transfer fee as low £10million.
As reported here previously, France is a favoured area for transfer business from PL clubs following the collapse of a broadcasting deal which has left many clubs in the financial brink
Tell him to do one, his agent makes the same noises, clearly thinks he is better than us. He doesn’t look that good anyway. Buy Sima and go after Hlozek from Sparta.
I’m with you, Steve. After Payet, Arnie and Haller, do we really want another player who has such an arrogant, casual attitude. No, as far as I am concerned show a bit of respect mate or stay where you are.
I can see why sully would be tempted by french league players on the cheap, but no guarantee they’ll be successful in premier league. I hope sully listens to Moyes. I think Moyes looks at players very carefully to see they have the right personality hard work ethic and attitude to fit the team but we all know sully likes to try and bully his managers into taking his cheap punts.
Somewhat disappointed, thought he would be good for us buy, yet again, we’ve found a player with a bad attitude. Wants to hang on to the last minute, usually means he’s waiting for a “big” club. Last player I remember doing that was Batshuayi and where is he now-a Crystal Palace reserve.A lot of players would jump at the chance to play in the Premiership but some think they’re too good for a “small” club like the 17th wealthiest team in the world. Good luck with your attitude pal.
