Sturridge? West Ham halt the madness

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge celebrates scoring to tie the match 1-1

Ridiculous rumours that Daniel Sturridge is a transfer window target for West Ham are total and complete nonsense.

The ‘story’ first emerged in the Brentwood Gazette earlier this month claiming he could be on his way to the Irons next summer.

But various media outlets have recycled it with a new spin today claiming he is on the radar for a late Deadline Day bid.

But ClaretandHugh can reveal (if it needs revealing at all) the club has no interest whatsoever in returning to Merseyside for striker with ongoing injury problems after the Andy Carroll nightmare.

Sturridge  has only played 106 minutes for Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp became manager on October 9 and has not been sighted since the 2-0 defeat at Newcastle on December 6, when he damaged his hamstring.

So the idea that David Sullivan, particularly given his outspoken comments on AC and Charlie Austen in the past could be tempted, would be entirely out of character at best and entirely ludicrous at worst.

We were told  few minutes ago: “We know everything gets blown out of proportion on Deadline Day but the idea of going in for Sturridge given our past experiences beats all.”

When fit, sturridge is a top quality striker. But he is fast becoming footballs forgotten man because no club will risk the financial burden of signing players with on going long term injuries,Its agents no doubt, who put out the transfer tales, trying to maintain their clients transfer value.

Hey everyone, this is my first post on the ONLY site worth reading for reliable information & communicating with other hammers who are very knowledgeable!
I thought my first post would be ideal on the subject of those super jokers over at the Brentwood gazette! For me personally I get s little frustrated with some of the false rumours that get thrown around during silly season but I have to say that the Brentwood gazette have given me lots of laughs over the last month or so, so much so that I just can’t get mad at them because they genuinely have had me chuckling at my screen with some of their outrageous rumours!
Some may call for them to just stop all crap they throw around but I say keep it coming BG! Not because they’re respected in any way shape or form but purely because every once in a while some of us need to be reminded not to take life so seriously! 🙂

This is a great site which I have alot of respect for so please keep up the good work.

Sturbridge is not worth a punt for any side unless the are desperate,he will return just before the end of the season score a handful of goals and Steel a place in the England squad up be injured when he gets there no some poor player will miss his chance the same s Wellbeck
