Sullivan dampens fans expectations

league-cup-west-ham-andy-carroll_3354672Hammers co chairman David Sullivan has warned the Hammers faithful “not to expect much on transfer deadline day.”

In a wide ranging interview on Talksport he revealed that he would like the fans for be patient and “we’ll have another go in the summer.”

He explained: “We have Ayew coming back and Diafra Sakho is on the way. In Andy Carroll we have one of the best defensive central defenders in the country and he is in outstanding attacking form.”

And he added that “something could happen” but made it clear the money had been spent for the winter .

He also appeared to deny that Reece Oxford could be on his way to Nottingham Forest adding: “Reece Oxford could go to Reading and that will be great for Reading!
