Oxford-604905West Ham are NOT locked into selling Reece Oxford to RB Leipzig as is being widely speculated in media reports this evening.

The BBC started the ball rolling with a report claiming that the Hammers are set to sell the teenager to the Bundesliga club for an initial 9m Euros (£8m), with the fee potentially rising to 19m (£16.88m) with add ons.

The story was immediately followed up by several other outlets but speaking to ClaretandHugh, co chairman David Sullivan insisted no deal was in the process of being done

Sullivan explained: “It’s unlikely to happen unless they make an offer we can’t refuse. We are recalling Reece from Borussia Monchengladbach to play for us.”

Leipzig tried to buy Oxford in 2016 but could not agree a fee with the Hammers and it now looks likely they are set to miss out on the highly rated teenager for the second time.

So long as he plays that would be great but I suspect it has much more to do with RB Leipzig saying they want to buy him and us having the option to sell during January to raise funds for other players lets wait and see. The chairmen don’t have a great record when it comes to transparency with the fans.

We need him back and in the starting 11.If this is not his biggest chance to impress our new manager i do not know what is.

Bring him back and hope he has made enough progress to put our other defenders under enormous pressure.( that means with no silly mistakes ). Perhaps he would look good in midfield in place of Obiang.

An offer they can’t refuse? Is that with a horses head in his bed?????
Why would you listen to offers for a player that could be worth 50 million plus in a couple of years if played?
He should of said he is not for sale as we want to play our youth players in our first team team, sends out a great message to our youth!

So the dildo has spoken. Now the only question Remaining is what constitutes an offer too good to refuse, and who makes that call? My worry is its the dildo and he will take anything north of £10m for a player with the potential to bring in three times that.
