Austin row: Sullivan staying ‘schtuum’ after fallout

|

David-Sullivan-001David Sullivan has declared he will “stay schtuum” for the rest of the season after his war of words with Charlie Austin.

According to London Evening Standard, the Irons co-chairman won’t be talking to the media again once he has fulfilled  pre-existing commitments over the course of the next week.

The 66-year-old made the vow after his comments about Austin on a West Ham fans’ podcast made the headlines and were met with a furious response from the QPR forward.

West Ham have been constantly linked to the striker since QPR’s relegation from the top-flight – even though this site has consistently maintained a deal will never happen and citing a failed medical and further alleged injury problems as major stumbling blocks.

Austin hit back saying: “I feel I have no option but to address the inaccurate, misleading and uninformed innuendo.”

How long will he be able to stay silent about staying silent though 😀

  • Michael Miller says:

Good idea – if I was Charlie Austin I’d seriously think about sueing Sullivan for defamation or whatever – his comments could have a devastating effect on Charlie Austin’s career!

  • billy hammer says:

He will never last the whole season not saying anything, lol, absolutely no chance 😉

Come on Michael how can anything he said effect Austins career ?
You think any other club are interested in what DS has said and they won’t have a medical done on the word of DS,yes what he said is wrong but it’s being blown up to a bigger situation then what it is,
It’s Friday any time now Hippo and Harry will have their say,
Funny how Harry has said nothing so far and he knows Austin so well ?
Let’s move on no Green transfer before 12.00 so Randy plays ?
No Forward another week goes by we loose Zarate and AC drops back another 2 weeks,

    • Michael Miller says:

Fair enough – but what Sullivan said was unbelievably stupid – Charlie Austin is justifiably upset about another Club’s official commenting on his fitness or medical condition – we’re probably dodging a bullet but Sullivan had no right to make it public.

  • Radai Lama says:

Haha, you will probably be saying the ‘No forward, another week goes by’ next friday as well bubs i expect the way things are going 😀

That’s what I don’t understand Rads, they make life hard for there selves,
What ever everyone says I read £25 million was our budget before the window opened and we will sign one more player but I bet he is not a CF,
I still think we will be OK as it’s now being reported that AC is saying he is very near to playing again,
My fear is even Slav will fall in the trap of thinking AC and Nolan can still deliver, and with both of them in the team it only leaves Payet as the attacking force unless the plan is to drop Noble,
I would sooner have seen Nolan and Magia leave the club even if we don’t sign replacements, because if either play it’s worse than playing with 10 men because it changes are team set up
