Supporter passes away following West Ham game

|

A West Ham supporter sadly passed away close to Stratford station after yesterday’s game at the London Stadium.

Met Police officer Andy Sheldon assigned to West Ham confirmed the sad news on Sunday morning saying  “Unfortunately, after Yesterday’s fixture a West ham fan collapsed near the front of Stratford Station, despite the best efforts of officers and Las staff, unfortunately, he passed away. Thoughts at this time are with his family.”

The police previously reported no significant issues during yesterday’s game with no arrests.

The very young pitch invader was reunited with his family and will face no further action due to special circumstances.

The death of a fellow supporter brings everything into perspective, no-one expects to go to a West Ham game and not come home.

Claret and Hugh would also like to also pass on their thoughts and condolences to the supporters family and friends at this sad time.
