The Athletic name three Hammers targets

|

The Athletic has named three potential Hammers targets in the January transfer window.

The club are in the market to sign a centre-back and a striker in the winter window as David Moyes’ side look to strengthen their squad in their top-four chase.

In defence, the outlet claims that Nice defender Flavius Daniliuc is one target who is on the shortlist.

An Austria U21 international, Daniliuc is left-footed, making him an attractive option for boss Moyes.

He came up through the Bayern Munich academy and is valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt.

Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko is also named as another potential target in the backline.

The 25-year-old is a seasoned Ukraine international and can play at either centre-back or at left-back, with that kind of versatility likely to appeal to Moyes.

Finally, the Hammers have also been linked with attacking midfielder Antonin Barak, who currently plays for Verona, with the club unlikely to be able to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.

Been linked with so many players if we signed half of them would have the biggest squad in the history of football ! May be truth in some cases but more likely Moyes will sign the unexpected !
