West Ham have a 100% win record in their new black kit.
The first win came in December last year against Leeds United at Elland Road in a 2-1 away win.
Next up was the muddy 1-0 FA Cup win over Stockport County Edgeley Park in January this year.
Last week it was a 3-2 away win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and last night it was a 3-1 away win over Aston Villa at Villa Park to complete the quartet of wins.
With West Ham playing Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA cup on Tuesday 9th February at Old Trafford perhaps it might be time to use the black kit again to give us some cup luck.
The Hammers third kit is black with gold trim and sponsor logo and commemorates the club’s 125th anniversary like the 2020/2021 home and away kits.
Perhaps we should play every game in the third kit until we lose 😉
I cant believe you guy’s have mentioned this. This was exactly my thoughts. We should definitely wear the third Black lucky kit, for the 5th round FA Cup tie against Man U.
We could wear the black shirt and shorts with white socks, as we did against Crystal Palace.
Not only is the kit lucky but I feel it makes us look more aggressive than the sky blue second kit.
Agree with Eug and Hugh let’s wear the kit against Utd, we are overdue some luck against them. Maybe we should keep the black and gold option every season 😉
