The kit show must go on

|

s3The West Ham Home Kit specular last night has received mixed reception on social media after it was streamed live on youtube and facebook but as the old saying goes you needed to be there to fully appreciate the event.

My daughter and I were two of the lucky five hundred supporters to be invited to the event hosted by youtuber Spencer Owen. The evening was very good humoured and there was half an our of build up before the show was streamed around the world.

Some of the more traditional fan base will moan this kind of thing just isn’t West Ham, I would imagine they are the same supporters who never wanted to move from the Boleyn Ground.  Let’s face facts we are  now a global brand and these kind of media events are here to stay. Personally I quite enjoyed last night and got to meet Gökhan Töre, Sofiane Feghouli and Mark Noble in person and have a chat.  All the players gave a lot of time to the 500 fans who gave up their evening to be there.

Were you not sad we left U.P Hugh ?
Strange finger pointer , what about social media that laughed at it ?
Never saw it myself , but if anything to go by with the U.P ceremony then the jury is out !
    Onward and upwards then !

So now we’re a global brand. I preferred it when we a football club rooted in our local community…

I’m glad you enjoyed it Sean. When all said it done it was just a bloody shirt unveiling. Many clubs are also doing this sort of thing via social media,it is nothing unusual in this day & age.Maybe it’s time the dinosaurs woke up & realised football has moved on & not just us.Lets get left behind eh.Then fans will complain other clubs are light years ahead of us when it comes to marketing the club. You can’t win sometimes!!

  • TRB says:

It was an awful presentation and I hope the club don’t do it again – it was especially embarrassing for the players.

  • Stinger says:

It was a total cringe vest, The club totally embarrassed themselves with this one.

The Prat who was hosting it had not even heard of half the West Ham managers. It’s not like we have actually had that many either.

As for West Ham now being a global brand. Have a word with yourself.

PS Why do you also feel the need to insult genuine West Ham fans who did not want to move? You are a total bellend for doing that. .

****ing hell are these West Ham fan sites/news sites only set up for the most miserable *******s we have supporting us to come on to gripe about things. The biggest cringe going on is if other fans read our sites & see what a group of moaning ****ers we have supporting us.That is more embarrassing for the majority of us supporters than any shirt launch!!!!!!

  • mooro66uk says:

100% agree Tone. What the f##k is wrong with you so called supporters. All iv’e heard for the last two weeks is moaning and griping. People denigrating our chairmen, slagging them off. Same as last year. then all of a sudden things change with 1 signing. then all of a sudden they are the boll**s again. Give em time lads. Sure it will work out ok in the end. Mum always said “don’t bite the hand that feeds ya”
