The opposition view: “We rode our luck”

|

Brighton boss Chris Hughton doesn’t share the view of some that West Ham were a poor second in the defeat at the Amex Stadium last night.

Although he team were well worth their first half lead they had to hang on desperately as the Hammers battered them at times in the second period.

And but for a late miss by Mark Arnautovic we would have brought a precious point from the south coast and probably deservedly so.

Hughton didn’t try to hide from the fact either claiming that this  was a very good West Ham side adding: “They are very strong on both wings and were dangerous .”

And he added on the official website: “We rode our luck against a very good West Ham side,”

“You can see them scoring goals, they’re very strong in the final third and we had to defend very well.
