The price of a goal !

Last week CandH did a piece on the 52 strikers that have been signed since David Gold and David Sullivan took over the club.

The general reaction was that it was systematic of West ham’s cack handed and frequently not thought through transfer policy.

True, very true

But let us take it a bit further

During that period ,we as a club spent £303 million on 52 players, some good and some pretty awful.

Those 52 players contributed 374 goals

That equates to the rather barmy figure of £810,000 per goal

£810,000 !
