The stadium rocks as Moyesie declares us a great club

|

What an afternoon – what a vibe – the stadium was rocking …it was as good as it gets inside a football stadium although we could do with being a bit closer of course.

There were times when the noise was deafening and right in front of me Jarrod Bowen lifted his arms up and down signalling “louder, louder” and my goodness did the fans respond.

It was an afternoon which showed us like no game before how far this amazing football club has progressed in the hands of a bunch of lads who are exciting us like few before them.

And David Moyes is running out of superlatives as this club rises and rises – just think about it …on level points with Manchester City and in third place. It truly is unbelievable.

David Moyes could hardly be happier and after an astonishing 3-2 win spoke of his joy at what’s happening at this club of ours.

He told whufc.com: “We’ve got a great Club, we really have, and we have a Club which I said right at the start that had so much room for improvement and development.

That first has to come on the pitch because supporters want to see what’s happening on the pitch. We brought in a few players, which have made a big difference.

We’ve got more international players here than we’ve had for a long time and credit has to go to everybody, but let’s be fair, the big one is the players – they’re doing a magnificent job.

The staff too, Kev and Nev (assistant coaches Kevin Nolan and Paul Nevin), the boys have helped get another couple in from set pieces again today so it’s great work.

Isn’t it incredible now that we have a Stadium where the place is going to be sold out, we’re having to increase the capacity to get everybody in and people want to come and watch the team.

That’s because they have a go, they’re energetic and I think the supporters can see everyone is doing all they can to try and get results and do well. They might not always win but they’ve got a team of triers.

Anyone who has called our new stadium soulless needed to be there yesterday. It was raucous, bedlam and joyous!
