HEARN’S POINTLESS HAMMERS CAMPAIGN!

|

There’s losers, bad losers – then there’s Barry Hearne!

He of course appears to be perfectly balanced as he carries a chip on both shoulders following the decision to make the Hammers anchor tenants of the Olympic Stadium.

Having lost all down the line, he is still attempting to undermine our position and is now claiming a victory over being able – along with any other company – to hire the OS.

The words ‘ground share, community, taxpayer’ drip relentlessly from his lips as he has makes attempt after attempt deny us our place as anchor tenants.

On his own admission he’s thrown away around £750,000 in fighting this lost cause whilst dominating the pages of the London Evening Standard (why?)  month after month since the process began.

He has used the word ‘court’ more times than Andy Murray and been beaten every step of the way.  Game set and match mate – haven’t you  noticed yet?

Nope, he’s at it again claiming that at a meeting with the London Legacy Development Corporation he’d been told West Ham could not stop other companies renting the stadium for various events. SO WHAT?

At an attempt at menace he says: ““I was not sure if West Ham were guaranteed to be the only football  club using the stadium and the breakthrough news for me was that the answer is no, they are just a tenant.”

Note the’ just’ in front of the words tenant – no mention of ‘anchor’ tenants and us having first choice over all things with the  LLDC  saying “West Ham’s matches would have priority.”

Should Hearn wish to ‘hire the local hall’ whilst maintaining all the costs involved in running Brisbane Road then he clearly  probably has more money than sense.

If, in the long term he is looking to flog off the O’s ground and hire out our place, in which he has no share or any form of partnership, then he has effectively left Leyton Orient and their fans homeless.

When it comes to money, the man certainly has a gift for throwing it away as he’s been doing and continues to do over us and the OS.

Why he wants to do this we can only guess at but it truly has become exceeding boring and pointless from where I’m sitting.
