This one’s for you Slav – RIP David Bowie!

|

Slaven Bilic was more than ready to devote some time to his second great passion when he entertained the media for the press conference ahead of the Bournemouth game.

Slav – as most know is a rocker – and member of the Croatian heavy metal band Rawbau, who in 2008 recorded a song for Croatia’s performance at Euro 2008 called “Vatreno ludilo” (“Fiery Madness”).

Not unnaturally he is also a major David Bowie fan and was more than happy to pay tribute to the great  man who has died of cancer at the age of 69.

Slav was perfectly comfortable turning from football to music at the morning presser and happily gave his assessment of DB’s impact on the world.

He said: “David Bowie is a big loss. He is a legend, a hero. I don’t think there is any person in the world who doesn’t love at least one song, because he was so versatile.

“I prefer his early stuff like Ziggy Stardust and all that, and that was, is and is going to be brilliant for years. He is a massive loss for music.”

We include the above video of the song for the boss.
