West Ham fans have given the quality of the club’s summer signings a huge thumbs up.
An exclusive ClaretandHugh poll has shown that over 90 per cent of supporters are delighted with the new arrivals.
So far the club has welcomed Mauro Zarate, Diego Poyet, Aaron Cresswell and Cheikhou Kouyate to Upton Park.
Voting figures were as follows:
20.19 per cent (217) claimed the signings were ‘Excellent’, 51.81 (218) ‘Very Good’ (558) and 22.88 (246) ‘Good’ .
Just 3.81 per cent (41) said the signings were average and 00.47 poor.
Editor Hugh Southon said: “Just over 1,000 voted which makes the poll official as far as Mori is concerned.
“We have seen with all out polls that whether 100 or 10,000 vote, the trend is established very early and rarely changes more than one or two per cent.
“So the large majority in favour of the signings looks to be a fair reflection of the way our fans feel.”
There’s talk of £15 million coming in from Newcastle for Andy Carroll – if that happens then we can expect a lot more new faces – now that would be exciting!!
COME ON YOU IRONS
(I’ve just had a thought – if Carroll goes what does it mean for Nolan – the end I hope!)
Perhaps I’m just a grumpy old git but I’m not over enthused by our signings, a left back who was caught out positionally worryingly often against championship standard players, a centre back who is so good defensively we’re going to play him in midfield, a young prospect untested in the top flight and a striker that failed at Brum, could be a long season if our homework wasn’t done right
