In a new air of transparency, the club has published the full list of Ticket exchange credits season ticket holders can expect to receive if they can’t make a game. The exchange scheme has come in for frequent criticism and the issue was raised at last week’s blogger and fan site meeting with Karren Brady. The Vice Chairman promised transparency and agreed to publish the full list of credits for all bands and for all categories of matches.
The club have now explained that season ticket holders receive 90% of their season ticket allocation for the category of match in the form of a credit with 10% kept by Ticket Master as an admin fee. The fact of the matter is, if more season ticket holders use Ticket Exchange, the less empty seats will be visible on match days and it would reduce the hard ticket checks in many sections as there wouldn’t be empty seats for fans to move to.
Selling your seat for games you cannot make allows the club sell it again at general admissions prices to add to the transfer kitty in the summer and also gives a fellow West Ham fan who hasn’t got a season ticket a chance of watching a game. It is a win/win situation but many are still not convinced.

Seems reasonable to me. I hope those selfish b’stards who bought a ST for the season and only use it 4 times will now take the trouble to pass it on. It made me laugh when people complained they spent £289 on a ticket and only got a tenner back. Do the maths!!
