Ticket trader delayed again

|

ticketqueueTicket trader will not be launched for the Southampton game this Sunday and is unlikely to be available for the Middlesborough game until we have a incident free league game ClaretandHugh understands.

A brand new scheme was due to be launched at the start of the season with partners Ticketmaster but failed to materialise. The club promised a new Ticket exchange and ticket forwarding service to allow season ticket holders to legally sell or pass on tickets to matches they can’t attend.

Our source close to the ticket office confirmed: “Ticket Trader will not launch pre-Southampton and subject to continued stadium issues may not launch for Boro.  There has not yet been a problem free league fixture. It has been agreed by the club and operators London Stadium 185 not to launch any new functionality that may further impact the security and safety issues currently faced”

However we have been assured “The software is in place and we are confident once we pass two problem free games we will activate”

What’s the Stadium issues got to do with it?

Nothing that I can think of – just another limp excuse!

Michael, I think the problem may be if I sell my season ticket to someone who is not a West Ham fan, no way of knowing who they maybe if I don’t attend who gets my ticket.
Could be opposition fan hell bent on causing trouble or just someone wanting to visit the stadium, no way of telling is there.

    • One issue is selling on seats in areas which stand or you start the whole complaint problem again. If seats are sold in standing areas those buying them might not know and be disappointed when they get there

This ‘Security’ argument is nonsensense – you can go on-line and visit one of the thitd-party ticket sites and buy hundreds of tickets.

What ‘Security’ is involved in these purchases? I would suggest none – you cough up your spondulix and the tickets yours – presumably any one of these ‘banned’ guys could obtain tickets through this route – the only problem I can see is that you’re paying over the odds!

These guys are a poor excuse for a ticketting platform

Really don’t see the connection between problem free games and the launch of Ticket Trader, another poor excuse from the Club for yet another broken promise!

Based upon experience to date, Brady’s promise of “supporters can look forward to vastly-improved service across the board ” sounds rather empty!

Security issues are preventing it? What a load of old ******** they haven’t had a problem selling packages to Thomas Cook have they? 🙂

Not really sure why “There has not yet been a problem free league fixture.” should impact on the new additions to the ticketmaster system.
I’m with 2 other family members & bought a child’s ticket beside us so I can on occasions bring my grandson & have him next to us. ( without that unlikely I could ever do it with him beside us.) Seemed a great deal.
I say occasions as he lives a 150 miles north so maybe 4-5 matches in a season. I was told for other matches I could either “upgrade” & pay the relevant match fee for another family member or turn it back to Ticketmaster.
Either way the club would get the match seat selling price of say £40-£65.
It is said that the club sold 10,000 of these tickets so if 1,000 were either upgraded or resold through the ticketmaster the additional revenue would be around £50k a match or nearly £1million for the season. Additionally more of the fans who pay the £50 for priority might get seats so less empty seats which were visible at both home games so far.
