Make no mistake things are desperately quiet right now and in those circumstances old stories are re-run as fact as it’s in the interests of various vested interests to keep things hyped up as much as possible.
Ths is particularly true in Turkey where there seem to be more informed media outlets than anywhere else in the world!

I recall one quote from him during the January transfer window when he allegedly told media outlet F5 Haber “West Ham transfer to occur within two or three days.”
This came after about 10 stories from various sources – sometimes with quotes sometmes without – that he was a Hammers player with prices attached ranging between £3.5 million – £10 million.
Of couse it didn’t happen – it was never going to.
Now we are back on the same old merry-go-round with Gokham Tore based of course on the quote from Slav this time last year that he loves the bloke – I expect he loves many players.
Tore is a player the manager would like but stories again today that he’s on the cusp of a £17 million swith is fantasy based on fiction (!) and once again we must remember the price has also been quoted as being as low as £7 million.
We asked our top source just a few minutes ago whether “we are even close to signing him” and was given an emphatic one word answer: “NO.”
Transfer specuation in the main is fun unless you are a Turkish journalist when it becomes absurd with everything hanging on the fact that Slav worked in the country.
There have been inquiries to third parties but absolutely nothing is gonna happen any time soon so let’s all settle down and enjoy the sun!!!!!
Well lets wait and see, I have a better feeling about this one going through than the Burak Yilmaz even if it isn’t by Wednesday 😉

Turkish media have already said it’s a done deal for Tore and will be announced on Wednesday June 1.I hope it’s correct.
In respect to transfer speculation and associated rumors, a very well-respected football pundit suggested it is best to ignore most of the gossip until you see the player wearing a West Ham players shirt!
I must admit that I’m more concerned about Michy Batshuayi than Tore.
