|

West Ham will be actively looking to move on goalkeeper Darren Randolph in the next transfer window.

The Irish international will be 35 come May comes out of contract in 2023 and following the arrival of Alphonse Areola on loan has become very much surplus to requirements.

Areola is on loan with an option to buy and with Lukasz Fabianski at the end of his deal looks set for the No 1 role with the club looking at various options of raising a younger No 2.

Randolph is believed to be on wages of between £30-£40k and is unlikely to make any further appearances to the six he made in all competitions last season following his return from Middlesbrough with the club looking to remove him from the wage bill.

He is valued at around £2 million. and is likely to be joined through the exit door by David martin whose contract ends in June of next year.

  • Hammers in the blood 1 says:

Randolph has been great over the two signings for us , no problem with him or Martin indeed . However it’s not the wrong thing to move them on . We will save wages make a few million so no issue . I do.want us to invest in another striker and LB though . The team need it we have to stay fresh for all of the games . Let’s be honest , we were not at our best against Brentford, and looked tired . Nowhere near our best . I know the lads will know that , so let’s be on it every game . A few more players will keep us fresh with rotation possible . I get a feeling we are going to go on a run of fantastic results , Vlasic will be awesome , Kral and Areola . DM needs to find the way to keep us fresh and winners , come on lads , COYI ⚒
