Unhappy Moyes talks new signings

|

By Hughie Southon

David Moyes is very keen indeed to bring in additions to the Hammers squad.

In an unusually frank admission he claims that to be the case based on what he has seen of the Hammers in pre-season.

The manager is a guy who rarely allows himself to put too much into the public domain so for him to admit already that he is not happy with what he has seen is quite a statement.

He hasn’t elaborated beyond that so it is difficult to make judgements on the positions and areas to which he is referring.

But speaking after last night’s game in Scotland against Glasgow Rangers he didn’t attempt to hide his feelings as we crashed to a 3-1 defeat whilst at times not looking at the races and finding problems in breaking down the Rangers defence.

He explained in  forthright tones: “We have bids in for players and we’re trying to get them in.

Getting them in at the moment is seeming quite difficult but by watching what I’ve seen in the opening games we need to add very quickly to the squad of players we’ve got.”

And so say all of us!

Its always the same we have bids in! lol what a joke we are at times whynot tell the truth we have low ball bids in but not being accepted for one reason or another…..is it starting to sink in is he starting to panic? Citeh Spuds Chelski early doors this season tricky games against Brighton/Forest/Villa and a euro playoff to fit in and still dragging our feet in the transfer market and of course if successfull with any signings its then going to be “they have got to be given time to bed in”….sometimes i despair how things are done…..there is being cautious then there is being overly cautious in the market…..start the season with what we have right now we will have a lonnnggg old season on our hands

Moyes is right to do so, the chairmen are just like Levy peeing off selling clubs by changing the deal late in the day, putting bids in for players they know the selling club won’t accept or the player at the selling club doesn’t want to leave, so that it makes good headlines and gives them an excuse as to how they tried really hard but other causes mean’t a deal couldn’t be done.

If Newman is in charge of transfers he obviously isn’t in charge of the budget which effectively makes him a token gesture.

Onana, Raum, Terrier these are quality players that come at a price, even Scamacca the moment it looks like we will get a deal done as with Scamacca the ecuse is that the manager has cooled his interest, hanging Moyes out to dry….

GSB we are onto you, get out and leave our club you are useless and a millstone around our neck.

Joke of a club. Never known sooooooooo much hearsay in all my life- in who we are signing. The only names not linked to the club so far is Messi..never ever known such a poor leadership of a board who quite frankly are a disgrace. A couple weeks away from the start of the season and what do we have……. Nothing to screem about for sure. If things dont move quickly we are going to be in some serious trouble this season. Everything the board promised when we moved they have delivered on nothing, with a squad so weak in numbers they should be ashamed. But then again they are only it for the money, just like that Lingard bloke.
