Upbeat Slaven’s optimistic outlook

|

BilicandcressieSlaven Bilic has revealed that Andre Ayew will be back much sooner than expected.

Ayew picked up a thigh problem on his debut for the Irons ast month, and has not appeared since.

It was initially feared that the Ghanian was set to be out for a lengthy period of time, but Bilic has confirmed that the forward is making good progress, alongside West Ham’s other three absentees – Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and Aaron Cresswell.

He said: “Ayew will be back sooner than what was expected. Andy (Carroll) is much better now and has started running now.

He will not be available for West Brom but he is improving big time and very soon we will have a full squad. Sakho and Cresswell will be back soon. Aaron (Cresswell) is sprinting already.”

Let’s hope ayew didn’t really need an operation and isn’t sacrificing short term gain for long term pain.

With EVERYONE fit PLUS a whole squad with positive mental attitude PLUS us supporters and the Board all united on the stadium issues and getting them fixed , my view is we are to be properly feared by the rest of the PL . Can you imagine our subs bench if we can achieve full squad fitness ? We’d bring on players for FUN ( not out of desperation ) . We need a ” rock ” at the centre of the back 4 – possibly a Captain there – incessantly talking , directing , adjusting and correcting and marshalling – a ” Mooro ” in his heyday ! Is there someone already there to step up and say ” it’s me !! ” ??
    Ogbonna ? Reid ? Collins ?
    . . . perhaps Arbeloa ???
    Then top 6 ⚒⚒
