Oxford signs new long term contract

|

Oxford has signed an extended bigger deal with kit manufacturers Nike. He put on his Instagram page: “Happy to have signed a new long Nike contract after my shoot today.”

West Ham is hoping that Reece Oxford snubs Manchester United and City to sign a new deal with West Ham. The Sun on Sunday  recently claimed the 17-year-old who has been in contract talks with the Hammers over the summer is considering penning an extension.

A source told the tabloid: “There is no agreement confirmed with Oxford, but there is no issues. His basic wage will increase along with clauses for appearances and England call-ups and the like.”

Oxford’s current contract expires in December 2017 when he reaches 19. Should West Ham not be able to agree a new deal by then they will need to rely on compensation from an independent tribunal.

Although it would unpopular I would say unless we are going to play him, sell him to City for £15m with a 30% sell on clause, he is perfect for Pep and there is every chance we would make plenty of money down the line, he is not first choice for us and if I were him I would be looking at learning from Guardiola, defensively he is better than stones but he still needs work.

Not likely, can’t bear to see him waste his career sitting on the sidelines, especially the way we are defending, Pep would make him 10 times the player he would be under his current circumstances. Why lose him for sweet fa when you have a chance to make some money, we might need it next season in the championship hehe

Oxford is the next Rio Ferdinand. I wouldn’t sell him to my worst enemy which is Tottenham actually these days. I wouldn’t sell him to your city boys either 32.

  • The problem is guys why would Man City pay £15m now when they could wait 15 months and get him for free! Plus Oxford would get better wages and a massive multi million signing on bonus.

Either we offer him a massive pay rise and signing bonus before his 18th birthday on 16th December or we accept we will probably lose him and settle for compensation which would probably be less than a million.

Extremely disappointed with Bilic’s management on a number of fronts. The consistent persistence with AC ahead of Sakho, the playing of Valencia and Sakho on the wing to accomadate Carroll, the players we have signed in the transfer window i.e. Nordsvelt, Tore.. and now his treatment of youth. IMO Oxford should be playing ahead of Collins. I am not expecting a good result today simply because I can see him playing the likes of Nordsvelt instead of giving youth its chance. I hope I am wrong.

‘Oxford signs new longterm contract’….Clickbait on Claret and Hugh? Disappointed lads. Very disappointed. Used to this kind of thing from the tabloids.

OMG how I so worried about tis manager, Nordsvelt starting !!! What the hell is he watching in training ! Byran had to be dropped after last week’s performance. Collins starting I can see some logic but I hope he did not drop Reid. Come on the hammers I hope the players can bail Bilic’s brutal team slection out.
