Valencia and Collins leave ground limping

image1Eye witnesses claim James Collins and Enner Valencia both left the Boleyn Ground limping this evening following the Hammers 2-1 win over Southampton.

Valencia was still dressed in his full football kit as he entered the players car park to leave the Boleyn ground. The 26 year old set-up the second goal with a cross that found man of the match Antonio before Andy Carroll put it in on the rebound. The striker went down holding his knee on the 84th minute and TV replays showed he caught his foot in the turf. The West Ham physio was sent on and Enner briefly continued but was substituted in the 86th minute to be replaced by Pedro Obiang.

James Collins appeared to twist his ankle during the second half of the victory, at one point it looked likely he wouldn’t be able to carry on but Ginge soldiered on to the bitter end making some vital blocks to make sure of the win. We will await what the medical team have to say tomorrow when they injuries are properly assessed.

  1. Not won in 6 has just turnt to unbeaten in 6 … lets make this unbeaten in 7 and lanzni can rip apart liverpool like he did earlier in the season… COME ON YOU IRONS .!

  2. Feel sorry for valencia , hes not having any luck this season , hope its not to serious, collins is a warrior i dont expect a knock to keep him out fingers crossed

  3. Cursed with injury !
Just what we didn’t want going into the new year !
Liverpool up next as well .

  4. Collins should have come off to be honest. Would have put jerks right back Tomkins at centre back And bought Hendrie on at left back. That’s what we bought him for wasn’t it as cover for cresswell?

  5. It’s like ‘Emergency Ward 10’ – I’m not worried about Collins – he should probably have come off but he has the guts and character to keep going – he’s got a ricket in him but you have to admire for his determination and bravery – good on him!

Valencia, on the other hand, does not give me the same confidence – let’s hope he proves me wrong!
