Mexico had rested many of their top players ahead of next month’s Gold Cup in the United States.

I meant to watch Ecuador to see how they use Valencia but managed to miss this – where do they play him? …and is it better than how he’s used at West Ham?

To be honest virtually anything would be better than how he was used by BFS!

he has been played up top as a centre forward Michael. Typical South American football being played though so no hoofs up to him. He has been largely ineffective in the first two games and he had a fair game today without being great. His “assist” was actually a poke at goal that was deflected by a defender into the scorers path. The goal Valencia scored was well taken. Still looks the same – very fast but very light weight too. Guess he will be a bit gassed after the Copa so will probably need a good rest before the new season starts.

Valencia can be class as we witnessed at the start of last season, then he was played as a winger and I killed his form

This season I predict big things, hopefully Ecuador get knocked out ASAP and he can prepare for this very important season

  • bubs says:

He has had a good cope America so far and should be able to carry this form in to the season,as our main flair player. And with brilliant shooting ability he should have a free roll behind or alongside Sakho

    • tony says:

have you watched the games Bubs? I have watched all 3 Ecuador games and whilst he had a fair game today he has been very poor in the others IMO.

  • essexclarets says:

Wont see him in a West Ham shirt until PL starts. He has had no break.

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Yeah the lad has gone from the world cup to the prem to the copa.He will need a break when he gets back.

Here’s hoping he carries this form into the new league season – we know he can be a fantastic player. Play him in the right place and he’ll be golden.

That’s strange… Enner is not a winger! And without Nolaninho he plays well and scores goals… And here I was thinking it was the other way around… That’s really strange… Lol 😀

  • TysonM says:

Haha,he hasnt actually played that well.Just normal Enner really.Scored a couple of goals but hardly been on fire.I think he misses Nolaninho more than we think, lol 😀

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Its weird.Copa America used to be on Sky for many years. Now its on some Premier Sports on tv,lol. But then i saw you can also watch all the live games on X-Box or Youtube, haha. The world is getting too technical for me but i have been watching it on youtube.Enner has been nothing special.Just what you expect from him normally.Cant trap a bag of wet cement but would outrun Usain Bolt as long as he doesnt have the ball to control as well 😉

  • mattefumi13 says:

Ahah… And maybe Sam too… The Genius used to run Enner down a lot… Lol

  • TysonM says:

Well to be fair Matte for what we paid for him he was a bit of a let down last season. But i hope under Slav he will get more out of him.Big season for Enner coming up.Even he said he was far from his best last season. So i dont think we are victimizing him like Samuel did sometimes, haha 😀

  • Quickdraw Slaven a party says:

If you buy a flat racing horse but give it to a trainer who only knows the ways of shire horses and cart horses you won’t get results,I trust the stallion trainer Slav to get the best out of Enner and offer him stable conditions lol

  • bubs says:

I trust Mourinio,s opinion and if he wanted Valencia he must see something in him
No Tony sorry have not watched the games just read the reports and if you have watched I will go by your opinion,it’s funny how different some people report games,
I have watched games and then seen reports the next day and wonderd if I was at the same game, and then the points out of 10 some people give players
