ReidWinston Reid skippered his New Zealand All Whites to a 3-1 defeat to Uzbekistan this afternoon in front of 8,000 fans at the Pakhtakor stadium in Uzbekistan.

Before the match Reid spoke of his pride at being named captain ”I’m proud that Anthony has placed faith in me to lead this team and I’m looking forward to the challenge of facing a strong side like Uzbekistan in our first match of a new World Cup cycle.
