Video: Zaza’s thunderous wonder goal

He was rubbished as one of the worst West Ham centre forwards of all time and nobody’s arguing.

Absolutely nobody was sorry to see the back of Simone Zaza when he left for Valencia but he has already shown exactly what he was in his locker since moving to La Liga.

Playing against Real Madrid he produced a goal we could only dream of as he instantly trapped Munir El Haddadi’s cross from the right, before turning and hammering the ball past a motionless Keylor Navas in the blink of an eye.

All of which means Zaza has now scored in back-to-back games, having not hit the back of the net in his other 15 matches for Valencia and West Ham this season!

The funniest thing i listened to during the game was near the end when he got praised for his efforts defensively & tracking back.He must be on something, now i know why WADA were so worried about the lack of drug tests in La Liga, its since Zaza has turned from dog sh*t to mutts nuts overnight 😨😀

He’s shaved his beard off, that’s the difference. His weight differential is that much better by being lighter up top. LOL

Well done chaps i needed a laugh having just read our neighbours site. The team are useless, the medical staff and training facilities are useless, the players are useless, the signings are useless, the chairmen are useless.Actually they should have just said West Ham -useless.Heavens above we have some miserable fans.

You forgot the board, the ticket exchange and the stadium. They’re all useless too. And they’ve put the John Lyall Gates in the wrong place. Ulesless 😂😂

I would put it down to a few things. Different culture ( and yes I do know he is an Italian now playing in Spain!) I don’t go along with this stuff about the PL being the best League in the world and how foreign players & managers are not good enough for it, but there are differences that some adapt to and some don’t. I think also he was under pressure with AC & Sakho being out. If he could have got used to it gradually things might have been different. What was the other one? Oh yes- and Bilic doesn’t know what he is doing. Only joking!

I think the lesson here is, As fans we need to give new signings, especially from abroad, TIME. We expect them to come in and instantly hit the floor running and be the best, instantly. And if not we get straight on their backs. Look at Feghouli. At first he struggled and the fans were instantly on his back. His useless, cant do a bloody thing. Get rid ASAP. But when given a chance he has shown that he has got ability, can go past defenders or cut inside, can deliver a good cross and can also get into the area and poach goals. Weather he will progress and become a regular performer only time will tell. Us fans are to quick to jump to the conclusion that new players are not up to it. Also look at Antonio and Obiang. Both took time to settle in before producing the ability they have. So let’s just remember. TIME gentleman, Please.
