West Ham are joint third unluckiest team in Europe

West Ham are the joint-third unluckiest team in Europe’s top five football leagues this season.

 Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Lyon are officially the joint unluckiest hitting the woodwork a total of 19 times this season.

Next comes Real Madrid, AC Milan and West Ham United each hitting the woodwork 16 times each.
West Ham led the Premier League table in terms of hitting the woodwork with Leeds United second with 15 and Spurs third with 14.
Brighton, Man City and Wolves have 13 while Arsenal, Aston Villa and Chelsea have hit the woodwork 12 times.
Sheffield United hit the woodwork thee least number of the times in the Premier League with just three shots hitting the wood.
Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio have hit the woodwork a total of three times each, Declan Rice twice with others once.
The Hammers only hit the woodwork a total of ten times for the whole of last Premier League season.

    I think we’re actually joint third—there are two teams ahead of us. But the point stands. We’re doing pretty well despite our bad luck!

    Chuck in some of the outrageous VAR & ref decisions, ball that went out of the stadium against manure but still deemed to be in play comes to mind and penalties not given, then I reckon we are number 1 unluckiest.
