West Ham ballot anomalies revealed

|

Two thousand season ticket holders have received an email saying they were successful in the ballot for the West Ham vĀ  Manchester United game on Saturday evening but the first ballot has not been without its anomalies.

Another 28,000 supporters were told they had not been successful in the automated ballot run by Ticket Master yesterday evening.

One season ticket holder from Wales claimed they also won a ticket despite being restricted by new Welsh restrictions.

The supporter claims she called the ticket office on Monday to ask if she needed to fill out an exemption form only to be told she would automatically be excluded.

One junior season ticket holder was awarded a ticket without her parent. Another ticket was instead awarded to his auntie in the same group who does not live in the same household.

Another supporter who emailed Claret and Hugh says he was wrongly excluded from the ballot for living in Kent when he lives in the London Borough of Bexley.

The fan whose registered address is in Welling has a DA postcode which covers parts of Kent and South East London but he is in a tier 2 area so should not have been excluded.

Contrary to previous articles it appears some of 2,000 tickets did go to sponsors and not just season ticket holders.

Claret and Hugh have passed on the allegationsĀ  with the club for further investigation.

Obviously, there were bound to be teething problems with the first ballot so hopefully, they will feedback to iron out any anomalies for the Crystal Palace ballot.
