West Ham United could face a midfield exodus this summer, with Edson Alvarez attracting interest from top clubs, according to a number of reports

The Mexican midfielder, signed from Ajax last summer, has made a significant impact in his debut season. His robust style and consistent performances have earned him a place in the hearts of West Ham fans.

However, West Ham fear that Alvarez might follow Lucas Paqueta in seeking a move to a bigger club, especially if the Hammers miss out on European qualification for the fourth consecutive season.

Alvarez’s impressive displays haven’t gone unnoticed by other clubs. His previous links to top European sides during his Ajax tenure suggest potential suitors might emerge.

Alvarez has seamlessly slotted into the midfield role vacated by Declan Rice, contributing with tackles and interceptions, proving his defensive solidity.

With Manchester City reportedly set to reignite their interest in Paqueta, West Ham could be facing the loss of two key midfielders. This potential double departure would be a significant blow to the club heading into a crucial summer transfer window.

He is one player we should do whatever possible to keep hold of, same as Kudus and Bowen, Paqueta is a racing certainty to leave and if we get £85m then it’s great business all around, if we let Alvarez go it should be for £80+ also, he is nearly as good as Rice was as for Kudus with his age £100m plus and Bowen similar at £80m + they are our elite players and if we have to rebuild better make sure we get as much as we can to do so.
