Hammers Silence Speaks Volumes

Image for Hammers Silence Speaks Volumes

The atmosphere at the London Stadium yesterday screamed louder than any chant. Despite a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, a decent result on paper, a deafening silence hung over the West Ham faithful before kickoff. This lack of energy is a strong indicator that David Moyes’ tenure at the club is definiely nearing its conclusion.

While Moyes deserves credit for his past successes with West Ham, the fans seem to be craving a change. The pre-match flatness wasn’t necessarily a display of disrespect towards Moyes, but rather a yearning for a new direction. It’s a quiet plea for a manager who can re-ignite their passion and lead the team into a fresh era.

The club seems to be stuck in a rut, and the fans are reflecting that with their muted response. A new manager could bring a new tactical approach, a renewed sense of purpose, and perhaps even a return to the kind of exciting football that once had the fans roaring.

The decision is ultimately West Ham’s to make, but the silence speaks volumes. It is now time for a change, a chance for Moyes to find a new challenge and for West Ham to write a new chapter with a new leader at the helm

I attended the Liverpool game and it was in my opinion obvious the gulf in the style of play of both teams , Liverpool were quite slick, west ham at the best of times laboured, when the teams were read out I thought Liverpool’s bench pretty decent west hams pretty awful my mind went to Eric cantonas advert on the telly ” who you got” , and as regards to our manager I think bubbles the bear would be an improvement there

What is this nostalgic rubbish you write about, what attacking football with crowd roaring?
Historical relegation battles and dire teams.
It was a rubbish atmosphere because it was a rubbish kick off time, no one is interested in playing at 12.30.
Put it at 3.00 and you might get a few people interested.
Supporters are being turned off by kick off times.

Claret and H and other shave mad Moyes last year toxic and sully hung him out to dry by not giving a new contract then and negative agenda is killing his legacy. Before Xmas we had record points total at sort of season and even then wrote negative about him. You guys and sully are to blame ok his subs haven’t been great sometimes but after Xmas no Bowen or Antonio, injuries to pacqueta and AFcon. The club didn’t spend again and sully will get manager he can tell what to do soon. Moyes has backbone and steely control freak mentality and has given me the best 4 years in 60 watching West Ham. Pure and simple football was dire and atmosphere at West Ham was poor apart from spurs or night games at Upton Park most of the time as we were awful

I also believe that beating Arsenal twice, Man U, Spurs, Chelsea, draw with Aston Villa, we’re beating Man City but Doku was unplayable.that second half has never happened in 60 year at West Ham. It weren’t long ago in my memory we spent most season looking at the football results every season working out permations on how on earth we could stay in the division and had players like 35 year olds like Lee Chapman as our saviours

West ham fans are sick of moyesball ! He bangs on about he wants to make west ham difficult to beat and not a soft touch like the west ham teams off the past Ha Ha ! He was a centre half and he and his coaches cant stop us leaking goals! He hasn’t reinforced our squad and plays the same eleven every game and wonders why we struggle! He hasn’t bought a centre forward because in his words if you buy one and it doesn’t work I will get the sack! He plays boring defensive football with only 30% possession on average and lets teams attack us. Our best players are our forwards who can score goals but he doesn’t play to their strengths. We need a complete change of direction and attitude as moyes won’t take any risks. Many friends and fans in Trevor brooking stand will not renew their season tickets if he is reappointed. We want WEST HAM UNITED to succeed and improve as we could be MASSIVE. COYI

Aye, Moyes has been good for WHU but some decisions have cost games. But just changing the management won’t solve the problem. When we didn’t strengthen in January I knew we’d fall away, just like in 2022, albeit not as badly as we have. If Moyes was responsible for not strengthening then fair enough, but sad to say, I think it is an ownership issue. We need new blood!

Other teams got teenagers scoring for fun westham got a 36 year old who has scored about six goals this season I just don’t get it. Moyes is arrogant and pigheaded. Yes he has won a trophy so good for him but if you look at 4 wins in 22 game it’s just as well Everton had points deducted. We could have beaten Liverpool in the league cup and Bristol city in the FA cup if string squads were picked but Moyes just focused on Europe. He should have gone at the end of last season. Ferdinand and Joe Cole made comments about keeping Moyes but they seem to forget they were given their chance at seventeen. If Moyes was in charge of them and they were playing now the would never have had the careers they had. May have given Rooney a chance but didn’t like it that he had more exposure. In the words o Kung fu with David CaradineTime for you leave.
