West Ham given next to no chance

West Ham have been given next to no chance of picking up the Europa League trophy.

As they head into their game in Germany this evening they are a not so magnificent seventh to do so according to an Opta super computer.

With several top clubs remaining in the second biggest Euro competition one would probably not be surprised by such a prediction but it remain disappointing for all that.

They may be among the favourites to make the last 16 but after that it looks very difficult for David Moyes‘ squad that they have no more than a 4.6 per cent chance of winning the competition this year according to Opta.

That is probably due to their form before the games against Brentford and Everton although they are handed a 63.7 per cent chance of overcoming Freiburg and entering the quarter finals after defeating their former Group rivals home and away at that stage of the competition.
