West Ham head queue for top target

|

There seems to be no question that the Hammers are at the head of the queue for exciting Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes. And it appears that West Ham head the queue for top target Barnes.

West Ham head queue for top target Harvey Barnes

The 25 year old has been regularly mentioned here and elsewhere as a priority Hammers target at £40 million and now The Telegraph is reporting we are leading the chase.

There was a suggestion that we could also make a double swoop on the Foxes by also bringing in James Maddison but Spurs have now emerged as favourites to get him.

David Moyes is keen to ensure that after a poor League season our recruitment is entirely effective as we look to re-establish ourselves at the level we were a couple of seasons back.

With the ever-likely departure of captain Declan Rice, the pressure will be on to make sure the recruitment this is effective.

Barnes who was relegated with Leicester City, has also been reported by ExWHUEmployee to be a key target for Moyes.

He told  The West Ham Way Podcast: Barnes is the number one target for that position I can assure you,” .

“Moyes is a huge admirer and a bid for him is expected, although nothing submitted as yet. We also face stiff competition from Aston Villa, Newcastle and Spurs.”

I never understand how a club can be ahead of the queue. I’m sure someone will be able to enlighten me how it works. But surely if West Ham along with how many other clubs are interested and as of yet, no bids are in then surely every one us at an equal position. I would love Barnes at West Ham but as of yet, no Rice sale (which I am pleased about), no supposed new director of football, no money until sales are made and the history of dithering Dave and low ball Sullivan, I just can’t see this happening.

    • I d0n’t understand why people don’t read the story properly:-)

I did but still doesn’t answer my questions. So I can’t understand why people don’t read the comments properly

        • It says they are at the head of a queue. It’s niot important anyway. Most know what it means

Well I don’t know what it means as I initially said, that’s why I was asking. Don’t see how if nobody has made a bid that one club can be ahead. Sorry for obviously being an idiot
