West Ham Kudus deal is close

|

West Ham are close to completing a deal for Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus according to numerous reports. All parties involved are increasing confident the Hammers third bid will be accepted. It is understood Ajax will accept the offer of £34m plus add-ons.

West Ham had initially been offering to pay the Dutch side over a five years. The Hammers have now put forward a bid that is far more enticing for Ajax. Included in the deal is a 10% sell-on clause in the agreement.

Personal terms are not expected to be issue, though West Ham will need to finalise wages and bonus structures with Kudus and his agents. There had been speculation that agents fees were hindering the deal, but all involved now seem happy with the arrangement.

The player will have to be signed and registered before noon Friday, in order to be eligible to play against Brighton.

The deal for Kudus is not thought to have any bearing on Jesse Lingard’s proposed contract.
