Media reports in Africa suggest West Ham will reignite interest in Algerian Striker Islam Slimani. The 29-year-old record signing has struggled for opportunities at Leicester City since joining last Summer.
Since Craig Shakespeare replaced Claudio Ranieri his chances have been limited. Slimani has started just 12 times in the Premier League this season, netting seven goals as his style continues to jar with the Foxes’ quick, counter-attacking strategy.
Leicester reportedly paid £30m for his services after he netted 31 goals in 44 appearances last season for Sporting Lisbon but they may be willing to let the striker go for less than they paid out less than a year ago.
However, buyer beware as Slimani seems to have a reoccurring groin injury at present, he missed 49 days and 9 matches for the Foxes between January and March and has been injured again since 14th April with another groin injury missing two weeks so far missing a further 3 matches through injury.
He would be an improvement on what we have if they will half his price.
