West Ham looking to hijack Everton transfer target

|

FranceThe Daily Mirror claims that West Ham is hoping to hijack Everton’s move for Steven N’Zonzi.

The two-times capped France international arrived at Gatwick airport today and reports suggest that both clubs hope to hold talks with him this week.

Everton is believed to be in pole position to win the race to sign the 29-year-old on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent move next summer. The former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder, who Allardyce signed when he was in charge at Ewood Park, is available after falling out with Sevilla coach Eduardo Berizzo.

The report claims West Ham also hope to hold talks with him this week with Arsenal also holding some interest.

Video footage has shown N’Zonzi arriving at Gatwick ahead of Sevilla’s match at Real Sociedad this evening.

N’Zonzi reportedly fell out with boss Eduardo Berizzo after Sevilla’s 3-3 draw against Liverpool in the Champions League.

The key bits of this piece are the ”29….30 next year’. I would have been excited by this two years ago, but I don’t think we want any more 30year olds. I thought he looked tremendous a couple of years back but seeing him against Liverpool I thought – nah,

He would still be a good signing as a box to box midfielder but think Carvalho should still be the prime target with Wilshere or N’Zonzi or some other creative as secondary. If he is a loan option you can see why the chairmen might be keen.

Jan loan 😂😂 sounds about right !.

Get Dendoncker from Anderlecht. Young, strong, versatile, wanting to leave this window, Anderlecht is not doing well and is in the owner is selling the club. Dendoncker literally terrorised Manure last year in European cup. That would be a strong addition, because he is quicker than Carvalho. And younger.

He would be good I like Dendockner. I would def take Nzonzi he is physical but good passer he is 28 now. But I don’t see it happening.

I would even go after Grujic from Liverpool on loan he is solid 21yo DM CM 95% pass rate good tackler Nzonzi’s height & his agent wants him to go on loan in PL.

We really need creativity I think even with Lanzini playing but when he is out….

Physical presence will be nice but they need to be able to pass which Nzonzi can but I don’t think it will happen.
Also showed we need a Fullback so hopefully we will go after Opare £3m can cover LB too we need that more then CB.

      Hazma Barry £5m CM/AM 23
James Maddisson 21yo English 7&8 free kick specialist at 21 maybe £8-£10m AM/CM

Think we should be all over Mohamed Elynoussoui 23yo Norway Intl w pace 11 assists 5 goals for Basel & doing it in CL £10m AM/RM/LM CM

And let’s not forget we have had good relations with Anderlecht in the past, going back to Swatje VanderElst, up to Kouyate more recently. Should be doable, even though he will be expensive. But so is Carvalho.
