West Ham/Mubama talks

Talks between the two sides had halted several weeks ago with the teenager’s side believing to want first team wages for the player.

The Hammers were entirely unwilling to offer those sort of terms and there was much talk that he would be be forced to move on like several before him.

He is an exciting prospect but with the Hammers not certain to see him as a long term answer they will offer a basic wage plus various incentive clauses including appearance and goals.

And this evening we have been told that the deadlock between the two sides on negotiations has been broken and that talks have and will continue over the next few weeks.

Claret and Hugh was told by sources close to the player several weeks ago that the player was keen to remain at the club and David Moyes explained that things had not worked out well for others who had decided to leave.

And a key contact inside the club revealed tonight: “Talks have re-started and we are hopeful a deal can be done.”
