West Ham supporter 40 days at Basildon hospital

|

West Ham season ticket holder Colin Wilkinson has stood outside of Basildon hospital and clapped all the staff in, every morning come rain or shine for forty days!

It’s been agreed that Wednesday 3rd June will be his last day.  Staff at the hospital which includes many West Ham fans have appreciated his dedication and will be clapping for him as he finishing his last shift next Wednesday.

The Basildon University Hospital Chaplins took to social media to recognise him by saying “This lovely gentleman, Colin has been clapping and cheering staff come rain or shine for the past five weeks. Next Wednesday 3 June when Colin has completed 40 days he will be stopping. We are going to miss him and would like to say thank you to Colin for his encouragement to us all at Basildon Hospital, so if you are around next Wednesday 3 June at 9 am we would invite you to join with us on the grass as we clap to him and wish him well.”
