West Ham target Micah Richards

|

Micah Richards has told Manchester City that he will not be signing a new deal at the club, and will look to leave this summer. It is believed Richards confirmed to Man City in early March that he would not be signing a deal which was offered to him last summer.

Richards, who has come through the youth ranks at City, has decided that the time is right to seek a new challenge.

The 25-year-old has just over 12 months left on his current deal and City were keen to extend his contract,

With first-team football not guaranteed, Richards is looking elsewhere and City look likely to opt to sell this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing in a year’s time. I understand Richards is a summer target for West Ham but they won’t be alone. Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs are all believed to be monitoring the situation together with clubs in France, Spain and Italy also keen on taking him.
