Moyes has to get his Spurs subs right
Let’s be honest, anything can happen in a London derby match involving West Ham and Tottenham. While Spurs have undoubtedly enjoyed higher league placings over the years, the Hammers are more than capable of delivering a bloody nose to our rivals.
However, David Moyes has fallen into the trap of making substitutions that make the team worse. During the last two Premier League games against Aston Villa and Newcastle United, West Ham surrendered winning positions following defensive substitutions.
Simply put, Moyes’ defensive tactics don’t work. Yes, there is mitigation with poor VAR calls, but Newcastle wouldn’t have been in our box if we’d continued attacking against them.
So, for that reason, when the Irons manager decides to haul Michail Antonio off, he must resist the urge to throw on a defensive player.
Step forward Maxel Cornet. He may not have enjoyed the greatest West Ham career so far, but he has pace and an eye for goal. He’s also the player least likely to upset the balance of the team if Moyes subs Mikey. Cornet isn’t a carbon copy by any means, but he’ll do a better job when operating in wide positions than Danny Ings.
A competent Manager would not make the same mistake to do it twice in succession is unforgivable.I am fed up with Moyes having been a fan and season ticket holder for seventy five years I can only see trouble ahead I met and spent hours talking to John Lyalll now that was a brilliant Manager.

No worries mate, we’re in the process of sorting it . . . thanks for leaving a comment
West Ham, who let a 3-1 lead slip to lose 4-3 at Newcastle last weekend, were able to respond in the 19th minute when Kurt Zouma scored from Jarrod Bowen’s corner and they could have claimed all three points.
