Wilshere injuries form new documentary

|

Jack Wilshere will explain all his injury woes via a new behind the scenes documentary as he bids to return to permanent full fitness next season.

The documentary is produced by Athlete’s Stance, a company who promise to bring ‘stories straight from the athletes’.

According to Sportsmail who plan to cover the doc Wilshere declares: ‘People don’t realise.’ They see you get injured and they say “he’s always injured, he’s injury-prone, he’s never going to be fit” but they don’t realise what goes on behind closed doors.’

He adds: ‘You should never give up. I want to play for as long as possible.

‘I do genuinely love football: it’s my life, it’s my kids’ life, it’s my family’s life, we’re a football family.

‘My goal is to get back in the team and win as many games as possible. At the moment that is all I’m focused on.’

ClaretandHugh: Quite what interest a documentary on an injured player holds for fans is a moot question. We understand that it may be therapeutic for the player to unload his worries, frustrations and hopes but it will probably rate quite low on the list of viewing priorities for most of us. One would have to be entirely heartless not to feel great sympathy for Jack and it was very encouraging to see his performances towards the end of the season. But the idea of settling down for however long it takes to watch and listen to him explaining his issues is not really on the essential to do list. Just get totally fit Jack and let’s see the results of your rehab on the pitch. Us fans sadly are a fickle lot and explanations are really unnecessary – your displays on the pitch are all that matters. Sorry if I’m not showing too much empathy mate but I do love the determination you are showing.

Imagine if we got the Jack Wiltshire the player that showed so much promise prior injuries.
What a coup this would be for the Irons.
Would love to see him back at his best and prove all the doubters wrong.
Push on Jack and push for an England place.

I think that he is gonna be another waste of money sadly like Carroll… I can’t see him staying fit
