Yarmolenko finally delivers

|

Andriy Yarmolenko could be forgiven his lacklustre performance yesterday when you factor in his big family news this afternoon.

His wife gave birth and the Ukrainian turning thirty-one on Friday.

The Hammer posted a proud picture on social media showing him, his wife and the new baby with the caption  “Thank You God and my wife for this feeling, another Yarmolenko!”

Yarmlenko was instrumental in the late come back at Spurs last weekend,  he only joined the action in the 75th minute but his perfectly timed reverse pass to Vladimir Coufal set up the cross for Davinson Sanchez to head into his own goal, bringing the score back to 3-2.

Within minutes the big Ukrainian was playing an equally vital role back in his own penalty area. Having run virtually the length of the pitch tracking Harry Kane, Yarmolenko then spotted the new danger when the Spur’s skipper slipped the ball through to Gareth Bale.

Bale looked odds on to score – but Yarmo had other ideas  and his physical presence was enough to unsettle and unbalance Bale, who as a result put the ball wide.

Congratulations to you and your family Andriy, it has been a big week!

Unusually bad performance Saturday after maybe one or two crafty ones on his birthday plus no sleep night before due to preggers wife about to drop. Of course it all makes sense now. All is forgiven. Congratulations and God bless.

Interestingly have seen a few WBA posts moaning that Diangana is struggling – and not the same player he was in the Championship last season.
