Young star prefers Hammers move

Montpellier youngster Elye Wahi prefers a move to the The Hammers rather than Chelsea according to numerous news sources.

Chelsea appeared to be in pole position for the French youngster despite competition from PSG and Spurs. Let’s be honest for a moment  . . . there aren’t too many players who don’t interest Chelsea, so I’d not read too much into this transfer story. However, the player does appear to be well regarded in French football, and the story has come from numerous sources.

Montpellier star prefers Hammers move over Chelsea

Wahi is understood to be reluctant to make a switch to Stamford Bridge, and wants to move to West Ham

The 20 year old has apparently told Montpellier of his desire to move to London Stadium rather than West London or Paris. Perhaps it’s the delightful yet expensive doughnut van in Westfield Stratford that’s swung the decision?

David Moyes is desperate for a striker given that Michail Antonio is looking for an exit and Danny Ings seems unsuited to the lone ranger role. Wahi had a cracking season in 22/23, where he notched up 19 goals and five assists in Ligue 1.
