Mauro Zarate produced a great performance and fine goal against the Romanians last night but knows there is one hell of a job in over the second leg.
Imediately after the game he told the official site: “It was bad in the dressing room after the game because we scored two goals and in the second half we had to play a little bit more, but that is football.
“It was great for me to score a goal but I am also very sad as this is not a good result for us. We will have another tough game in Romania next week. They will attack and we have to win. It will be a good match for everyone.”
Zarate was also unhappy to see fellow forward Enner Valencia carried off on a stretcher with a knee injury midway through the first half.
He added: “I have to speak with Enner. I think he turned his knee and we will see what happens.”
I think last night’s performance, not to mention a pretty dreamy goal, shows that Zarate can be the player we all thought he was, and that he was treated shabbily by Allardyce last season.
Looks like Zarate has finally removed his head from his arse.. 😀

Maybe having a manager who is showing a bit of faith in him helps.Think he could get a fair bit of game time this season especially now it looks like Valencia is crocked 🙁
