OS West Ham Seating Plan ‘revealed’

|

OSSeatingplanv6

Although the club have not released an official seating plan for the Olympic Stadium, ClaretandHugh have  create a seating plan for the Olympic Stadium based on information given to us by those Hammers supporters who have attended their season ticket appointments at the Stratford reservation centre.

We know it is not 100% accurate and it is still subject to change but we are told it pretty much close to where each category of  season ticket holders will be seating. We understand some bands are spilt down the middle of sections and this is not reflected in the plan.

The club are currently processing band 3 season ticket holders from the Bobby Moore Upper and Upper corners of the Betway West Stand. Appointments for band 4 are expected to begin in November slightly earlier than expected.

Our thanks to Benjamin Anthonisz who created this graphic for us, if you re-produce this graphic on social media or other websites all we ask is you credit Ben and this site.

Seating plan updated to version 3 at 6pm 5th October following further feedback from fans.

Sorry but poster on KUMB Forum who has had his reservation appointment clearly stated that Block 243 was the last in Band 3 before Band 4 starts. You’ve got Block 244 as the last block!
Looks like your diagram is wrong I’m afraid…

  • I am aware of that report on KUMB but I was told 244 is likely to spilt between band 3 and band 4. Time will tell whether that becomes true. These seating bands can expand on demand depending how many plus twos are introduced with existing ticket holders. As I said it is not 100% accurate but it is pretty close. We will be amending it as we receive more information as band 3 and band 4 appointments progress.

I think you may have to revise the Band 1 blocks, I am in a group of 10 people who are in Block 233 and we are in Band 1. The seats are in 2 rows and are level with the D.

Lol,the only time i ever see Soup Plate turn up on here is to have a moan about something.Unbelievable!!!

  • slaven a laugh says:

Not many cheap band 5 seats then tucked away at the back there. Is that a big gap in front of the band five? and what’s happening with that area known as ‘not for sale’ ?

  • slaven a laugh says:

Actually looking at it closer there isn’t much difference in terms of distance from the pitch between the upper tier of a band three and a band five.

  • The area marked not for sale is believed to be reserved for general sale and the 100,000 Newham free tickets plus expansion for cup games to make the 15% figure.

West Ham confirmed in a Stadium FAQ that season tickets will not be available in the south stand. It is believed season tickets will be capped at 40,000 at the Olympic Stadium. When you consider there are 3,600 corporate seats and 3,000 away tickets that only leaves 8,400 seats available. When you factor in up to 100,000 free tickets per season that could account for up to 5,000 per match you find that as little 3,400 tickets could be available for general sale.

I was at the Olympic Stadium for the first time yesterday for the Ireland v Italy game, I was sitting in section 109 going by the diagram above. The sight lines were fine, no worse than Wembley (I was there last week for the Ireland v Romania game) but the atmosphere really wasn’t comparable. The Irish performance had a part to play but the general consensus with people around me were that the atmosphere was flat because of the distance from the pitch, many of us felt that we weren’t really involved in the game, it was more like watching from a far. At other stadiums supporters felt they could influence a game, especially when things were not going well but that was not the feeling at the Olympic stadium yesterday

I know that for the club to move forward this move is necessary but I certainly am no longer as positive about it as I was before

I went to the Olympics and the atmosphere was incredible! perhaps the problem is the game – Rugby, the team – Irish or you and your mates – boring.

      • The Boleyn Badger says:

Still C- Douche.I would suggest your comments about other people on here are more boring than any sport that may be played at the OS.

  • Michael Miller says:

So what’s the light grey ‘not for sale’ bit?

    • The club have indicated they will not sell season tickets in the south stand

See FAQ below http://www.whufc.com/New-Stadium/2016-17-Season-Tickets They say they will not move season ticket holders even for cup games which require 15% allocation. Planning permission shows the 15% cup allocation takes up the whole of the south stand

      • Michael Miller says:

Eh – right – why not?

I’m a bit confused – if someone wants to buy a Season Ticket you’d think the Club would snatch their hands off – is there some sort of reason behind this?

  • essexclarets says:

I can only say what i can see on the telly & the stadium looks great apart from both ends seem to be overwhelmed by the massive screens. How is that in reality & does the roof look as big as it does on telly??

  • Hockley Hammer says:

    Where is the 1966 club

  • Liddy says:

Hi Sean, when we went for our appointment we were told that the away support would be in the South East corner but you’re showing them in the South West. My understanding is that they were going to be where you’ve got the light blue band 3 supporters.

    • Not sure but the one thing the club did confirm to me today is I got the away section and not for sale to season ticket holders correct. They said band 4 and band 5 were not correct hence the version 2 updated this afternoon

      • Liddy says:

In that case they’ve moved the away support since May because we chose our seats based on where they’d be. That’s a bit off, selling seats based on inaccurate or changeable information.

  • Seating plan updated again following feedback from others

  • Michael Miller says:

I’m interested in this 100,00 free tickets per Season – you say possibly 5,000 per match – what’s this all about?
Is this part of the agreement with the LLDC?
Who decides where these tickets go?
Are they going to Schools or what?

    • The 100,000 free tickets is part of the agreement with Newham council who are part owners of E20 LLP who own the stadium. Newham will give these tickets to community groups to distribute free of charge like they did for the Rugby World Cup. Some of them will go to schools and some to community groups. Not sure how it will be policed. They don’t specify how many a game but if you give less at a category A game it means you may have to double up at less popular games. Whether Newham will be able to regularly find 100,000 people to use these tickets in another question. The novelty might wear off soon. They have been careful to say up to 100,000 per year.

  • Hockley Hammer says:

If the 1966 club, is in the middle of the East stand, surely they should have a different colour to band 1 seats. As they were almost £200.00 dearer.
