‘Highly likely’ West Ham want £18m ace – report

|

West Ham are likely to be interested in a deal to sign Stuttgart full-back Borna Sosa, according to a report from Total Football Analysis.

The Hammers did not manage to add a new defender to the squad in the January transfer window but could look to sign a new left-back in the summer, due to the fact that Aaron Cresswell has precious little back-up in the position due to doubts over Arthur Masuaku’s ability.

Sosa is a 24-year-old full-back who has won five caps for Croatia and he has been with the club since 2018; he has also been linked with Spurs and Arsenal.

He has made 77 appearances for the club and has scored three goals, while also registering 22 assists.

Sosa consistently bombs up and down the wing for the Bundesliga club, and has the ability to both defend and attack.

He has a contract that runs until 2025 and is valued at £18m by Transfermarkt so the deal is not likely to be cheap, but he seems like an intriguing option for David Moyes.
